I've deposited $5 in my NeoBux referral account. Using this balance, you can rent referrals from them for 1 month, during which you will earn referral income from them. At the end of this period, the referrals will be returned to NeoBux.
I've never done this before, all other sites have offered to sell you them outright. I've purchased a pack of 10 referrals for $3. Now to see how it goes.

Made $0.25 so far from the referrals. One downside is that you only receive referral earnings on days you've clicked four or more ads.
